I am so profoundly sad to learn of Richard Jeni's death.I had admired him so much and I aspired to one day - with a lot of hard work-have just a fraction of his brilliant
humor and talent. I watched him every chance I got. Then I had the good fortune of meeting him in 2005. We had a
few conversations and he generously invited me to open for his act at the Irvine Improv on March 2nd 2006. It was
a dream come true. I couldn't believe he was actually talking to me, let alone inviting me to help open for him. I
was so taken aback by his kindness. He was extremely kind to me and I will always remember that. My prayers go out to
